romance novel:
Summary-- A man meets a woman whose car needs help. He helps her, even though she can do it on her own, but she thinks he is cute, so she acts like she doesn't know how. They date and eventually marry. His career is going on missions of the military and he has to leave her and his whole family, who I think are Irish American and have owned land in the town for generations. he leaves for a military mission of some sort and doesn't return home. His family believes he died on that mission. However, he did not; and actually felt terribly about the failed mission (because people died) so he underwent another mission where they had to surgically alter his looks, including eye color.
When the man comes back to town, to catch a bad guy, he finds his wife stayed in the town and now runs his mechanic shop, which is faltering. He gets a job at the shop as his cover, and finds out that his wife does not date. She is being chased by another man, whom he dislikes. The chemistry between the husband and wife is hot and they eventually get together but he doesn't tell her who he is. She has a clue, though because of how he absentmindedly twirls a wrench in his hand as he concentrates on a vehicle he is working on.
In the end they fall in love all over again, and his family welcomes him to the family, still not knowing it is really him.

I am looking for a medieval romance I read about 20 years ago. The hero is going through a marriage of convenience with a terrified young lady. She runs away after the wedding night (pregnant), escapes villains in the woods (they tell the husband that they killed her). She ends up in a cottage in the woods with an old witch & has her baby. She uses a moonlight spell by lying in the stream to make her beautiful. She later returns to her husband as a wet-nurse who found the runaway bride & saved the baby. He promises her anything she wants. When the king is trying to make him marry someone else, she demands he fulfill his promise by marrying her. Later, of course, he finds out who she is.

Hi, I'm looking for a book, I can't really remember the details of the book, other than the fact that the title may be Love is my reason and the initials of the author may be B M.
I know that the Female Lead is Enid and while the Male Lead is surnamed Carleon or Corleone and now that I think of it, it's sort of inspired by Jane Eyre, cause Enid accuses Carleon of practicing bigamy and I can remember little details of her seeing someone or a ghost in the attic.
Please please please I need to find out the true title of this novel, I've been searching for more than 5 five years now. Thank you in advance
