I did the reading-by-month one year - it was a very nice way to shape a challenge!

thanks to both of you - any good groups I should look into for next year - I've been keeping to myself and should get back into things I think

I'm doing a reading by month this year also. I needed a break to catch up on series and fit in books that didn't fit anywhere else. Good luck.

dudes22 - I tried doing it by genre or some o f the other things, but I like just reading what I want when I want and seeing how many I can get in - I also have a series or two to get to and one I only have one more book to read and I'm done

interesting - 7 of the first 8 books have something to do with a cat - I am also reading the final book in The Wheel of Time series which I should have finished this weekend

finally Jan 15 2015 finished the Wheel of Time series - 12 days to read the final book

Hi Sharleen, I'm curious about the number after the book. Is that the date you finished it on?

I like the casual feel of your challenge. It certainly looks like you are an avid reader.

28koalamom
Jan 22, 2015, 8:55 am

yes, Roro8 - that's the date - I used to type in the whole date but first noticed that the year was obvious and then finally because I put the month name on the top that that was unnecessary as well - so now it's just the date I finish the book - and note sometimes it looks like I read two books a day, but one of them may have actually taken me 12 days to read and the other a couple of hours and I finished both on that date - I can have two or sometimes three books going and read what suits me at the moment

That makes sense. I mostly just read one book at a time. Unless I'm reading a non fiction, then I'll read a fiction at the same time. You've managed to get through quite a few already.

30koalamom
Jan 24, 2015, 10:56 am

that's how I do it - can only usually handle a chapter or two of a non-fiction - so I have a fiction going as well - usually only two at a time

don't usually read four books by one author in a 2 week period - my son is a Clive Cussler fan and decided to binge from the library - couldn't pass up the opportunity - and we both have read all four - though at this writing he is half way through the fourth but may have it done before it's due back

45mamzel

Cussler is definitely binge-able.

finished the year with 183 - 13 in December - trying to take more time with a book as so many make my eyes tired - or at least I think it heps in that problem! on to 2016 where I do have two books in the works already
