Hey everybody,

I'm a really big fan of paranormal/romance series like Laurell K. Hamilton's Antia Blake, or the Weather Warden Series by Rachel Caine.
After checking the balance of my banking account I finally decided to allow myself an Amazon order this weekend.. ;-)
Now I was wondering whether you could recommend books or authors to me that resemble what Hamilton and Caine do.
So far I do know both of Laurell K. Hamilton's series as well as both series by Rachel Caine. I've read the books by Sunny (Monere), Lilith Saintcrow, and Kat Richardson (Greywalker) as well. I also started to read the Sign of the Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson but I have to admit that I stopped reading the first book when they changed her into her sister and I felt the urge to actually jump into the book and beat everybody up.

It would be really great if you could recommend some more of those series to me.

I rather liked Bitten by Armstrong.

Also, the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris. It starts with Dead Until Dark.

ha ha! I am right with you on the Vicki Petersson book. I did finish it, but I'm definitely not reading the rest of the series.

You might like the following authors:

urban fantasy with some romance:
C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp (touchstone not working) Touch of Madness
Ilona Andrews Magic Bites
Patricia Briggs Mercy Thomas series, Moon Called
Laura Anne Gilman's retriever series Staying Dead
Charlaine Harris Sookie books. Dead Until Dark
Kim Harrison Dead Witch Walking
Lilith Saintcrow Working for the Devil

romance with some urban fantasy:
Christine Feehan's Caparthian series. She has two other urban type series going on, but I don't like them.
Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series. Jacob is the first.
Richelle Mead Succubus Blues
Nalini Singh Slave to Sensation
Catherine Spangler Touched by Darkness
J.R. Ward Dark Lover: a novel of the black dagger brotherhood
Kresley Cole A Hunger Like No Other

That's all I can think of at the moment. I know I have more written down, but that's plenty to start with...

You might like Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series. The first one is Storm Front.

Also, if you don't mind a bit of humor I would suggest Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey Guardian books which are very, very good as well. They kind of remind me of the Weather Warden books. I think the first one is You Slay Me.

If you like Laurell K Hamilton and J.R. Ward then you make like the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series. She also writes as Kinley MacGregor with Arthurian themes. She also has the BAD series as Sherrilyn Kenyon which is more of a secret agent/erotica type genre. Not bad, but not as good as the Dark Hunter Series.

I agree with the suggestions of Kresley Cole and Kelley Armstrong.
