What classics do you enjoy reading at Christmas, or about Christmas? (Or Hannukah?) Of course there's the obvious choice of A Christmas Carol. Which reminds me there is an old tradition, pre-Dickens, of telling ghost stories this time of year, and I like to honour that by reading Edgar Allan Poe and other classics of the supernatural.

You mean like The Corrections or The Stupidest Angel? Those are my favorite Christmas classics!

I'm a big Christmas Carol fan and try to read that one every year as well as watching the movies. This year, I'm also dipping into the Christmas section from Dickens' The Pickwick Papers and reading the Christmas stories from Washington Irving's Sketchbook.

>2 Sandydog1:, lol, I have The Corrections on the TBR pile. I'll have to remember to slate it for that time of year.
