Quite a long article. It spends quite a bit of time with new words entering the language. I like the idea that etymologies are much more thorough going into the next "unabridged" on-line only edition. I remember decdes ago thinking that its pronncition guide was distinctly western New England and whether that is considered a U.S. standard. This article doesn't really deal with this issue, but I might still take out a subscription.
