Hey All. I have seen ads for the new unabridged World War Z audio book that mention "movie tie ins". Does anyone know if this is just the stories from the book that didn't make it to the audio book, or are there new stories that have been created to somehow tie the book to the movie. As I am sure most of you know, the movie had very little in common with the book other than a zombie apocalypse. As a movie it was fine, but I am not sure why they used the World War Z name, since it was so unrelated. I loved the audio book, but was a little disappointed at the stories that were omitted. If this new version is just those missing stories I will definitely get it. However, if these are new stories that are only provided to make the movie fit the book, or vice versa, than I am not interested.
Yeah the lack of description is frustrating. Probably won't be rushing out to see the movie either.
I hate to say it, but I haven't seen the movie (even my mom's seen it--sheesh) or read the book (though I did buy the book today--yay!). I might watch the sequel, but I'm curious who'll be in it.
The book is VERY good; proof that even an overworked genre can have a few gems. The movie... I liked the soundtrack. It was terrible, even judged as a movie, and not as an adaptation from a book.
>5 BruceCoulson: Hmm, I'll have to look around for the soundtrack at least. Thanks! :)
