DC Meetup August 9

I'm going to be at a conference in DC from August 5-8, so of course I'd like to try to schedule a meetup on Sunday the 9th. Details TBD, but I wanted to at least get the possibility out there. I probably won't be able to attend the National Book Festival this year, so I'm hoping to see as many people as possible in advance.

Hmm, I am a maybe. I expect to get to the National Book Festival if the usual meetup happens, but am also hoping to visit my niece in DC earlier in August, details depending on her schedule, and she's apparently juggling with other things to be settled this week.

Katherine, any chance I could meet your niece when you come to see her...since she lives in Maryland?

>3 SqueakyChu: Maybe. She lives in Gaithersburg now, a couple stops from you on the Metro. Lemme see how pieces fall into place over the next week or so. I'll probably see her during the NBF meetup too; it's a question of who gets prioritized when. Also I'm somewhat constrained time-wise because a recently diagnosed cat needs medication, too schizzy for anyone else to deal with, don't want to skip doses until she's stabilized, hopefully by August but I'll see what the vet sez in checkup next week.

Put me in the maybe column too. My budget is looking to even miss the NBF, so that's a sad day indeed.

And now I'm a probably not. Visit to niece has encountered some discombobulation on her end, and what with the Philadelphia meetup on August 15 and the National Book Festival on September 5, I'm not so sure I want to deal with that uncertainty plus planning another weekend away.

Due to unforseen issues on my house (a tree limb just took out my carport earlier this week), my budget isn't allowing any major excursions. Which means probably missing National Book Festival too.
