An interesting list, I have two books on my TBR pile from authors he lists, but different works: E. L. Doctorow and Tony Judt. Don't think that signifies anything in particular, but interesting to me.
I do like that his approach to non-fiction appears to be equally influenced by fiction and poetry: specifically, the artfulness of words.
