Is anybody else curious to see Scarlett Johansson and natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl? I am not so sure that Eric Bana is the best choice to play Henry VIII. I have not seen the BBC miniseries.
I've read three Philipa Gregory novels thus far, and I hated all of them. (I dunno how I managed to read two more books after The Queen's Fool. I think I may have read them on a 3-hr flight). I'm a history buff, and I resent the gross historical inaccuracy of the novels. Vocabulary is also horrible. I could probably add more words to my vocabulary from reading a Woody Allen essay than from three Philippa Gregory books. Her writing is also anachronistic.
