I just found this group but it doesn't look like there's been much activity. Is it still active?

Not very active by the dates of the last posts before yours.
Messages from all groups do appear on everyone's list of all new topics unless they've specifically hidden the group so you could always try and see if some people come out of lurking if there are new topics you want to bring up or old ones you think are worth revisiting.
