"No previous giveaway winners in same calendar year."

Just noticed this comment in one of the giveaways:

"No previous giveaway winners in same calendar year."

Is this allowed? I was under the impression that the author/publisher cannot make any stipulations beyond what is already in the giveaway rules. Also, it is a random drawing. He cannot pick and choose who wins. If someone did win a second giveaway would he then not honor it?

I have no interest in the audiobook and I'm not entered in the giveaway so I have no horse in this race... just curious.

There's a similar comment on the book, Fancy & Adriaan by Haidji.

The statement says "If you already won a paperback copy of Fancy & Adriaan on Booklikes or Librarything you cannot enter this giveaway."

Is this against the rules?

There's a couple on the December and January MGs that are like this.

" If you already won a copy of SG - Suicide Game on a giveaway you cannot enter this giveaway." Appears to be the same author as post #4

"To enter please mark the book as "to read" on Library Thing and Goodreads." Is this one allowed?
