Not Just Papercuts: Horrible Bookstore Experiences

A colleague laughingly pointed out this bit of news to me and warned me about my bookstore visits (I’m summarizing):

A man was put to jail after he approached and fondled an 11-year old girl browsing in the children’s lit section of a popular bookstore chain in a Mandaluyong City mall. The man now stands to face acts of lasciviousness and child abuse charges.

***

Needless to say, this has bothered me on several levels so much that I can’t articulate all of what I wanted to say now. How dare he? And on the frickin’ children’s lit section no less! Talk about loss of innocence. Is it evil of me if I hope that the suspect gets raped in jail?
