"Millennials Feel Increasingly Negative about Religious Organizations, Says a New Study":
The above was the heading of a posting on facebook that someone shared with me. As I started to read the facebook comments listed below the article I was struck by the following - about the third comment - as it was exactly what I would have said - only with a lot more use of the word "fuck". His name was Joshua Dziewaltowski (how in god's name is that pronounced anyways?) and he made the following comment - which received, BTW, 574 likes:
Quote: "Most of you, as always, are completely wrong. It has nothing to do with how religion is portrayed, or wanting to be cool, or being born during a certain time.
Millennials want nothing to do with religion, because religion has no place in a modern society. Believing in a fairy tale written several thousand years ago to be used as a fear tactic in controlling the people is absurd.
Going to a building and praising a make believe being, giving money to an organization, and otherwise wasting time and energy on nonsense is ridiculous. It serves no purpose. It doesn't better the world, it isn't productive, and is a complete waste of everyone's time.
Honestly, the day when religion becomes so obsolete that the only people believing are too old or long gone will be the day the world can finally progress on more important things, like saving the planet from ourselves, reviving the environment, focusing on science and bettering our lives, rather than bigoted, antiquated ideas and beliefs that do nothing but hurt society." - end Quote.

That day will never come.
"'Will Earth be Godless, then?' I cried.'
And Thoth responded, 'Nay.
You'll make more gods, in names of whom
To burn, and maim, and slay.'

Right - a quote from a famous science FICTION writer. Thanks. I love science FICTION myself. Just look at my books.
My favorite sci-FI writers were I. Asimov and A.C. Clark. In real life they were both outspoken atheists, BTW. But I suppose that fact alone makes them lesser intellects than you, right BC?
lol. I.e., I am amused.
