I've done ok with my reading for the last couple of years, so I'm bumping myself back up to the 100 group again. I've already got a few planned out with group reads this year and I've finished 3 so far. Happy Reading!

This was the perfect book for me to put my feet up with a cuppa and read through. This is comprised of things said to bookseller and author Jen Campbell (and other booksellers/librarians around the world).
Some of these are laugh out loud funny and I found myself nodding along while I was reading, thinking 'I remember this patron'.

Oh yes, I've got friends who've worked in retail, and their stories can be great. :)

I definitely think my standouts for January were The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery,
The Line of Beauty by Alan Hollinghurst and Island Home by Tim Winton.

At Bertram’s Hotel by Agatha Christie
This was my first Agatha Christie, part of the Marple series, while it was a little dated I enjoyed myself. I did feel like it was a bit light on with Marple though. I though she would be more front and center for the mystery. She was on holiday in the book, so maybe she was taking a backseat instead. I've another of her standalone titles that I'm starting this weekend. I think I'm a Christie convert!
