Hi,
last year I read 71 books. My challenge is to add 4 more this year. I usually read Dutch & English fiction and try to catch up with some of the classics. For the first time I created a list of 10 books I want to read in the current year. It's a list of classics of a certain size that have been in my TBR list for some time, some of them for many years. About 65 smaller size books will be read as side dishes. At least, that is the plan.
So, here's the to-read-in-2016 list:
Keep the aspidistra flying - George Orwell
De vernuftige edelman Don Quichot van La Mancha - Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra (that one, yes)
Doctor Faustus - Thomas Mann
A Brief History of Seven Killings - Marlon James
Jozef en zijn broers - Thomas Mann
Infinite Jest - David Foster Wallace
In Europa - Geert Mak
The life and opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman - Laurence Sterne
Homage to Catalonia - George Orwell
Metamorphosen - Publius Ovidius Naso
I'll try to update regularly.
