I'm interested in finding out if an author or book has a wikipedia entry. What would be a good approach to answer that? About what percentage of authors have a wikipedia entry? What percentage of titles?

If you go to the upper right of the author page, for example Richard Adams, you'll see a Links box which may contain a link to the author's Wikipedia page, assuming he's got one.

It doesn't look like there's any Wikipedia data on works. For example, Romeo and Juliet doesn't contain a Wikipedia link under Quick Links, and I'd think a well-known Shakespearean play would have a Wikipedia link if LT did that for works and not just authors.

I don't know how you'd come up with percentages of authors. I suspect it's probably rather low considering the huge number of authors on LT, only some small percentage of whom are at all that prominent.

ETA: As to author links to Wikipedia, you could of course add a link yourself on the author page by clicking the add link in the Links box.

At one time LT put in Wikipedia links automatically on author pages, but too many were inaccurate. People do insist on reusing names.

>3 MarthaJeanne: LT pulled Wikipedia information for authors as a one-time thing. As you said, there were a lot of inaccuracies.
