Hi, I am escafeld (without the 67) on RISI & welcome to the ReadItSwapIt LT users group. I appreciate that RISI has it's own very vibrant forum so that this place may not see much action but thought it would be nice to create a group all those who use RISI could join.

It'll make it easier to browse each others libraries & we may well get some interesting stats regarding the books of the group members.

Well, I suppose we'll see how it goes. :-)

I am currently reading City of Spies by Simon Levack. It is the third book in his Aztec series that deals with the trials & tribulations of slave & one time priest named Yaotl, who has to use all his wile & cunning to solve a murder mystery and in the process save both his son's & his own life.

Levack really does a magnificent job of transporting you back to the time of the pre-conquest Aztec empire.

Thanks for starting the group up. I did send a message to LT asking whether RISI could be added to the "Also on ..." on people's profiles to get a direct link. (I'm gaskella on RISI too by the way).

I prefer the LT forums to RISI, so let's hope to find a few more members.
Cheers
Annabel

PS: Currently reading The wind up bird chronicle by Haruki Murakami and now I'm a third of the way through am really getting into it.

I haven't been active on RISI much lately (I got a big pile of books for my birthday so I've been reading all of those), and I've never posted on the forums there, but it's a great site.

I've just finished Stark by Ben Elton - one of the birthday gifts. Found it a bit dated :)

Well, I'm Brythonwitch on RISI, too. I am surprised that I have managed so many swaps, giving I read mostly non-fiction, but its great to find other members here.

Thanks escafeld for the invitation.

I am blueidol on both and been slow on RISI as I have been using bookmooch alot. But the long awaited wishlist has dragged me back in. Its a pain that you have to enter it book by book. However I have now started to load more books on for swapping. I had 24 boxes via our local freecycle and these are all but two boxes already on Bookmooch( about 8 boxes went straight to charity). And so just posted 150 books and then chased for the 10+ books on my wishlist so far.
