Had you expected Connie to have had any contact with Jenny previously? Was this significant?

Wasn't Jenny Connie's boss? I think that anyone that Jenny had contact with recently or even in the last few years around the time that Elias died, would be significant. The village/town seems to be a small place and I would think that everyone would know everyone.

I don't think there'd need to be contact between Connie and Jenny, they weren't friends, they were former work colleagues.
Connie seemed genuinely surprised that Jenny lived in the same village - will be interesting to see whether she actually was unaware. I don't think she'd lie about it though, as the police would be bound to find out if the two had had dealings with each other since the Elias case.

At first I thought the contact was as a result of Social Workers being involved with Connie's family, but that was before I knew Connie had been a Social Worker. Now wasn't that a surprise!

I'm surprised Connie didn't know about Jenny living so close. I wonder if she's telling the truth.

I believed her, but then I'm most probably being naive!

I kind of figured they may work together since they were both social workers but Ann was being tricky with letting us know at first.
