Why would Veronica invite Connie to lunch? Do you think she should have gone? Would you?

That was a strange thing for Veronica to do...especially since Connie's not a friend and they only know one another through the play group. I was surprised that Connie would go since she didn't feel comfortable about it and she had Alice with her. Maybe Connie is that lonely that she'd except an invitation from a near stranger.

Don't know why she invited Connie.
After the way Connie has been treated by Veronica, I'd have thought Connie would ignore the invitation.
I wouldn't have gone, given the same circumstances.

I wouldn't have gone after the way she had been treated. It was clear she was just after information and some salacious gossip. Is she guilty and wanted to find out more to see if she was suspected?

I think Veronica wanted to pump Connie for information. I wouldn't have gone either. Maybe Connie wants to get something from Veronica too.

I think Connie was just lonely and Veronica just wanted gossip info. Also Ann is trying to get us to suspect Veronica.
