It was okay..can't say it was great as there were really no surprises that we hadn't already figured out. It closed the story and brought everything together nicely. I really liked that the team came together at the end and celebrated the close of the case. That was very nice of Vera. I'm still not sure who the stranger was though.

I thought the ending was very good. I was very surprised that Jenny was having a relationship with Simon. Didn't expect that. I was also surprised about Veronica's other children, Patrick and Mattie. It's amazing how Ann writes these books and the complicated plot that she pieces together at the end and ties everything up with lots of surprises.

I thought the ending was good. I hadn't figured it out yet and reluctantly believed Simon the likely suspect. I completely refused to consider Jenny and Simon together. It was just too icky. I was delighted to see Michael get his comeuppance.

I didn't like the ending: the affair between Jenny and Simon came out of nowhere.
>2 Carol420: The stranger was Danny, Carol, he had just ditched the bag and was looking for Oliver.

>5 Sergeirocks: Thanks Sergei. I couldn't remember if who the stranger was was ever revealed.

>5 Sergeirocks: I'm with you on this Sergei, the ending didn't sit particularly comfortably with me and felt a little let down by it. I definitely didn't but Simon dropping Alice into the water.
