@ Andrew - what will you do with the August list? Will you extend the scope or make a new one?

3Andrew-theQM
Sep 5, 2016, 2:45 pm

>2 sushicat: The August list was just a trial to see how it worked. What do people want to do? Shall we do a new one each month? A list that you can add books to as you read them whenever? Or do you not want a list at all?

Let me know what you think.

4sushicat
Sep 5, 2016, 6:57 pm

I like the list, but would go for longer stretches than a month.

5Andrew-theQM
Sep 5, 2016, 7:13 pm

I've extended it so we can add any books we have read from August to the end of the year. We could then set up a new one for 2017.

Books Read in August 2016
This is a link to the list I have created to be able to add any books members of the group finish during August.

Don't know if you will be able to see these clips outside the UK but if you can they are a good reminder of Peter May's Lewes Trilogy and the feel of Jimmy Perez's backdrop. Beautiful scenery.

>13 Raspberrymocha: Rasp...go to the list and you will see on the right side at the top a box that says "add work to list". Click on that and you'll get a box that you can enter the title of your book and the author. When you select "search" it will give you a list of all the books that it thinks meets that criteria. Click on the one you want to add and then check the "add to list box" if it isn't already checked. You will see the word "added" if it adds it. You can do an individual list or you can add to the group list. "All members list will give you the list made by everyone. At the very top on the right in blue letters you'll see " create new list". If you click on that you can make an individual list.

I'm looking forward to the movie, but I never really think about Cruise as Jack Reacher. I just like action movies so I know I'll like this one.

Sep 15, 2016, 4:52 pm

The Emperor's Treasure by Daniel Leston is available free in the UK Today. May be worth checking out elsewhere. This is a book in the Professor David Manning Series. I have read two others in this series this year (both free) and have really enjoyed them. It doesn't seem to have a Touchstone!

Just popping in to say Hi! I haven't deserted you entirely but don't plan to participate until the next Ann Cleeve's group read in November. I am trying to get more books read off my shelf and the majority of them are not mysteries. I will keep looking for reads that interest me but i'm afraid i'm kind of a wimp. The Chris Carter stand a lone that is scheduled for next month sounds a bit too gruesome for my tastes. :)

Hope you all are well!

What I think we'll set up on here Lynsey is a joint thread to share what non-mystery and suspense reads people are reading, along with reviews of those books as we all read other genres. What do others think?

I remember someone mentioning that they were reading the Sam Archer series by Tom Barber (Maybe Eadie?) Just wanted to let you know that Blackout, book 3 of the series, is free on Amazon right now in the Kindle format.

I've got Ice Hunt and The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter a novella by Stuart MacBride and a few others.
