So has anyone read 1491? What did you think?

I haven't read it yet but am hoping to soon. Have you?

I started reading it, mainly to compare what he had to say about the Moundbuilder cultures, with Willoughby's work. It's a good read and synthesizes much from earlier works with recent discoveries and theories. There are many little know facts and anecdotes I haven't come across anywhere else, however. I haven't quite finished it yet, as I tend to read three or four books, alternately. I will be getting back into it soon.

I just picked up a copy from the library yesterday. I read the Appendices last night (I know, kinda weird, but...) and if the rest of the book is as good it will be a great read.

Twas very interesting.
