What is the best anime book/show and why?

I just wanna know what you think is the best anime book/show because i wanna start getting into more anime.

At the moment my favourite book is D.N.Angel and my favourite show would either be Fafner, Ergo Proxy or Neon Genesis:Evangelion.

Death Note b/c well i guess its a good book and show. It has death gods, some words that are still in japanses, cool characters, and well the death note.

Yes, Deathnote is a good movie, I have not read the book but i bet it is good also. well my list of books/movies of anime that are good in my openion would have to be..

I hope you realise that all the titles mentioned started life as a Manga comic book and then were transformed into film/tv series. Death Note is a series of 12 (cheap) books with a total of 108 chapters.
As for the many genres in prose, there are just as many genres in Manga. Ranging from autobiography on WWII Atom Bomb (Barefoot Gen) via history (Lone Wolf & Cub) and absurd (Chromartie High School) to silly girly books like D.N.Angel. SciFi Manga has Akira, Thriller Manga has Old Boy. There are hundreds of titles (in english) for 16 year old girls and quite popular with them too.
Just go to a well-stocked (comic) book shop, name the genre you like and with the help of a good salesperson, you will find someting you like.

hey!!! I happen to like D.N Angel and its not as silly as some other things out there!!

Anyway do any of u know any good vampire manga books because i like that kind of stuff and havent found a good one

and just because D.N Angel is a silly girly book according to u doesnt meanthat it isnt good :(

Death Note is a fantastic anime.
The only part I hate about it is that there isn't enough episodes.
I have lots and lots of different anime that I like,
Inuyasha,
Blood +
Blood Trinity
Naruto, all the way.
Get Backers.
And some that aren't comming to mind right now..

I have to say that my favorite is "Spirited Away".

7-Bella, have you tried Vampire Knight? It is a pretty new series and I think Volume 3 just recently came out. I'm really enjoying it.

My favorite manga/anime at the moment is Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, I've been completely obsessed by it lately. I'm also really enjoying the manga and anime for Cardcaptor Sakura and xxxHolic. I still consider myself pretty new to the world of manga and anime so I haven't really read/seen a lot of it.

I know of two vampire/comedy ones. Vampire Game (you may have trouble finding earlier issues though) and a new one called Vampire Doll.

Bleach because Its sooo adictive and funny and Interesting To me anyway

Hey i've heard of Bleach I just forgot wat it was about...

I'm a big fan of the Rurouni Kenshin, Deathnote, Bleach, Naruto, and Fullmetal Achemist series.

with Deathnote I don't care for the anime but the manga kicks ass, even though they are the same story, you can't keep an animated series that close to a manga.

The anime and manga version of FMA are both good but offer 2 totally different stories that are the same up until about halfway into the story.
