What were your initial thoughts and theories about the woman in the white robes and the blue flowing cloak that Cathbad saw in the graveyard in the Prologue?
2Sergeirocks
This scene was written in an obviously spooky manner: a tombstone in a silent graveyard, 'glowing white in the moonlight', a 'woman in white' standing beside it, her face 'illuminated by something stronger than natural light...'.
A ghostly apparition?
Maybe.
Until she turns and quickly walks away, rather than disappearing into the ether: so, obviously, a real-life woman.
Cathbad makes to give chase but, alas, he's floored by the cat... Lol.
Great opening gambit, Elly, :)

Great thinking and reading Sergei, don't think I thought that deeply. It was made to seem like a ghost to me, I didn't think of the religious connotations.

It seemed very ghostly but I never got the feeling it wasn't a real woman.

I figured it was a real woman but it did seem like a ghost or at least something supernatural...but everything in a dark cemetery in the fog is supernatural and spooky. It was funny that the cat got the best of Cathbad.

Yes not sure whether to feel more sorry for the cat or Cathbad!

>8 Andrew-theQM: >9 sushicat: Oh NO!!! Is this another poor cat who's going to become a suspect?

>10 Carol420: No I'm sticking up for the Cat! Learn't my lesson!

>11 Andrew-theQM: You are a quick learner:)
