Janet Meadows suggests in Chapter 5 that Cathbad may have seen The Blue Lady of Walsingham. Cathbad thinks he may have seen the dead girl asking for his help. At this stage of the story what did you think he had seen?

I thought it was a 'real' person. Besides, I think Cathbad himself would have had an inkling if the sighting had been anything spectral.

Must have been a real person especially given the murder. If Cathbad truly thought it had been the dead girl what help was she asking for and why did she disappear?

It never occurred to me that it was a spirit.

Must have been the girl. But I don't understand why Cathbad says he thought she wanted something from him if she walked away. That might make sense for a ghost who can't communicate, but a living person could just have said what she wants...

I thought he saw a real person.

I thought she was a real flesh and blood human being.
