Doreen (from the grave) fostered children. Could this be the link to Chloe?

Fostering could be a link, or the fact that she was a dinner lady - possibly coinciding with when Chloe was at school before leaving the area.

Hadn't thought about the dinner lady part but that could be a good clue. I wondered if it indicated that Chloe had been fostered and adopted.

I think there could be a link but I don't know what it could be at this point. It's the type of character that usually does.

Dinner lady? What is that?
I'm sure she'll be linked somehow.

I got ahead of myself in the last question. I do think that the foster woman/dinner lady is connected Chloe.

I like the term dinner lady. In US they would be referred to as teacher assistants or cafeteria workers. I love learning new terms.

These days they tend to be called Midday Supervisor. In the UK Teaching Assistants are those that support children in the learning or do intervention groups.

Yes, our teaching assistants are usually in the classroom too. My granddaughter has a teaching assistant that works with her all day as she is autistic. She has set her up with her own desk with dividers for walls which actually resembles an office. She even has a wall clock, pencil holder, stapler and a sign that says 'Evie's office'. She fought for Evie to stay with her classmates when usually the learning support students have to go to a certain school in the district after the 3rd grade. She said that Evie would be devastated to not say with her friends. All the kids love Evie too as she is very sweet. She is now 9 years old and is in the 4th grade. She has a interest in knowing what stores are located in what shopping center and she can name all the stores that are open 24 hours a day in Charlottesville, VA. Autistic children are amazing in certain areas. She doesn't do well on some of her comprehension tests because of lack of communication skills but she can read very well. I think she understands but has problems communicating.
