Do you think Hilary is at risk from the person writing the letters?

I don't know what Elly's intentions are...
In real life, this might just be someone who is full of venom and bluster, who has no intention of harming the recipient. But I think the police would take the sending of poison-pen letters seriously and act on them if the sender could be traced.
We'll have to wait and see if Elly's letter writer is dangerous - I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the case...

The writer has written the letters over a couple of months so it sounds like the writer is pretty serious. I would surmise that the writer could be dangerous.

I'm assuming it's part of the story because the person writing the letters is somehow dangerous.

Agree with Lynda that because Elly has made it a part of the story line...it's important. It seems to be a rather weak thing to be all upset about and threaten anyone...but there are people that would do this.

I definitely think she is at risk from this person. Watch this space!

It got ominous the moment it got real personal, rather than the more generic first letters.
