Why did you think the story kept returning to Daisy?

I knew Daisy because she favored Doreen had something to do with the murders but I couldn't figure out why.

Daisy seemed to be the hub of the whole storyline, having fostered so many children there was ample room for one of them to be a murderer.

I was completely lost. I thought there was more plot significance to Daisy since there was a lot of focus on her but I never suspected she was at risk.

I believe this was another one of those small'snippets" we were supposed to make sense of. She didn't "look" like Doreen did she? It said she reminded him of his mother and took that to mean by her actions...not her looks. Was she ever described to us?

As the story kept focusing on her I thought the killer was going to attack her.

I was closer to suspecting her than to consider her a potential victim. Until she started feeling threatened in the field.
