Justin tells Cathbad that he is 'pretty hard-nosed' and more like Nelson than he thinks. Do you agree with this view?

Never really thought about it but maybe that's why Cathbad gets on Nelson's nerves so much because they are alike.

I never saw Cathbad in this way.

I never saw Cathbad and Nelson being anything alike either. Nelson sometimes barely tolerates Cathbad.

I never saw them that way but I can see some comparables. They are both strong willed and confident. Both are devoted to their children. Both have some form of spirituality.

Comparisons would always depend on the angle you look at them. Focus on the similarities, they seem alike, focus on the disparities, they seem very different people.
Having said that, hard-nosed is not a trait where I find these two very much alike.

>6 sushicat: I'm struggling to see how 'hard-nosed' can be used to describe Cathbad at all. It definitely fits Nelson, though.

>7 Sergeirocks: I agree. I always thought of Cathbad as coming across as mild mannered and very responsible and level-headed. Harry was always the one on edge about everything and opinionated and sometimes down right judgmental.

I definitely don't see these similarities between them.
