Any other thoughts, comments or questions about the book?

Great job again, Andrew! One of our favorite authors and the questions flow a lot easier.

If anyone is interested in following the woman priest theme, I highly recommend a series by Julia Spencer-Fleming featuring Clare Fergusson, a newly-ordained Episcopal priest, and Russ Van Alstyne, Chief of Police, in Millers Kill, New York. The first one is called In the Bleak Midwinter.

>6 Olivermagnus:
I'm a big fan of that series too. I've read them all. I wonder what happened to the one that was suppose to come out in 2015 Hid From Our Eyes.

>6 Olivermagnus: Yes...I loved the Clare Fergusson series. She waited so long between books though that you almost forgot what had happened in the last one. I always looked forward to her meetings with her church board. She sure didn't take any flack from them. She was also an interesting character because she had been a military helicopter pilot in Vietnam before becoming a priest.

>7 EadieB: - I agree. I check for it periodically but I'm no longer hopeful because it's been so long.

>11 Olivermagnus: Didn't she leave Russ and Clare finally really getting involved with one another...without Russ's feelings of guilt?

I just looked at her website and it list Through the Evil Days as being her 8th in the series and being published November 5, 2013...almost 3 years ago. Everything, Amazon...her Facebook page, Wikipedia... all list the last book published in the series as 2013. My library has it and I haven't read it so I asked them to hold it for me.

Someone on Twitter said she is still writing the book. She left off with Clare pregnant and the readers are begging her not to leave them hanging. lol

>12 Carol420: She must be the slowest writer in history:) Since I hadn't read the 8th book the library has it and they're holding it for me.

She does seem to take a few years between books.

Hid From Our Eyes was originally supposed to be published in 2015 so she must be going through a massive writers block. Hopefully it's not health related.

I thought maybe she was dead...seriously. But nothing is said about there being any health problems.

Thanks everyone, and thanks for all the contributions - these are what makes these discussions such great fun! Now onto Ice Hunt by James Rollins.

>14 Carol420: Slowest writer in history goes to either George R. R. Martin or Patrick Rothfuss. They make me seriously think about taking a vow to never again start a series unless it's finished. It's ok if the episodes are self contained as for most mystery series - but not for epic fantasy that is supposed to be one big story arc in a limited number of books.

>19 sushicat: >14 Carol420: Can I also add Diana Gabaldon - 4 or 5 years between each book in the Outlander Series.

>20 Andrew-theQM: I've read one or two of Gabaldon's books - it takes me that long to read one, ha! I started one in June last year (2015) and I'm still only two thirds of the way through!

>21 Sergeirocks: Now that is a long time. If it's taken you over a year to read it possibly you are not enjoying it! I've only read the first one and that was an audiobook in 2012.
