Pre Book Discussion

Have you read any James Rollins previously, and if so what would be your favourite book?

I like his standalones more than his series books.
I've read all except Altar of Eden and of them I actually have two favorites...Excavation and Amazonia. Strangely I know I've read Ice Hunt but I don't remember anything about it or even what rating I gave it. I love Arctic mysteries so more than like it was high.

I've read up to book #8 of the Sigma Force series, and I liked the first one...Sandstorm the best of all of them. It's...at least to me...an okay series.

We read his trilogy...The Order of The Sanguines...as a group and it was a really good trilogy but I wouldn't want a steady diet of it.

Fell in love with James Rollins with the first book I read by him, Black Order but nothing since has matched this very high standard.

City of Screams - 5 stars (novella)

I loved his (and Rebecca Cantrell's) Sanguine's series, all received high ratings - 2 5s and a 4.75 - the only other one of his that I can remember is Amazonia, which I gave 3.5 stars; I may have read others but I can't particularly recall them.

other than the Order of the Sanguines series, I haven't read any James Rollins. Looking forward to seeing what his standalones are like

I loved the Order of the Sanguines series. I've read Excavation and it looks like I gave it a 4. I think I read Amazonia but that was before Shelfari so I don't have a rating and I can't remember a thing about it. I've never read the Sigma Force novels but they are on my TBR.
