One of our local bookstores (https://www.librarything.com/venue/84730/East-End-Book-Exchange) was recently sold and, after closing briefly, has reopened with a new name.

It seems there are two options for the LTL 'venue' listing; I _think_ I know which is the correct answer, but thought I'd check my answers with the rest of the class:

- Since it's still a bookstore at the same site, simply rename the venue listing and update the web addresses, etc.

- Since it's got a new name and ownership (and even, to some extent, layout and focus), mark the existing venue 'defunct' and create a new venue with the new name at the same address

thoughts?

I'd say lean toward the second option, because people can track where they bought things and just renaming the venue would crew up the links.

I'd do the second as well.

If I bought my books at X Books, I don't want them showing as having been bought at Y Books. However, I would indicate the name change in either the venue description or the comments.
