Christian Prayer: The Liturgy of the Hours

I have the large type edition (1600 pp-1985), and as well I have three of the four volumes of The Liturgy of the Hours (Catholic Book Publishing-1975). For me it is a frequent struggle to find the proper readings, and time--and discipline-- to read them. But I keep trying, and I hope this discussion group can encourage others to make the effort and to find answers to any questions or difficulties they may face. There are about 300 members with this Christian Prayer edition, and I suspect there may be other descriptions for the same edition.
My question, should we (did you) read all three sections today: morning prayer p116, p 1022, p 1027? (As well as Evening and Night prayer sections.)
And one more question, do you feel the four volume Liturgy is more rewarding, or do different Congregations simply feel separate preferences?

Is the Psalmody for today the same as Sat of the 4th week? How can it be marked specifically for 12/24? The previous days are marked more generally Dec 17-23.

I should have admitted that my best efforts to date are to start reading at Advent, take the winter off, and restart at Lent, but with substantial difficulty, interruption, ? in both seasons. But a day with a good reading even if not complete gives a wonderful feeling, much like a prayer when you really feel God's Presence and Joy.
Recently it occurred to me to put the single book in clear and accessible sight, and try to read at least the most recent hour each time I think of it (which encourages me to read the next hour as well if I can). I pray all will do better than I do, and let's encourage each other.
