I'm thinking of doing a list for Chomksy, so far I have only found this interview which concludes with close ups of works on his desk: http://cargocollective.com/jeffjetton/Noam-Chomsky-Interview

How might I find a more authoritative source?

The most authoritative source would be Chomsky himself.

A good chunk is already at MIT's Libraries and Institute Archives and Special Collections:

Not dead yet, though.

Hence discussion in Other People's Libraries, not in the Legacy group.

You can email Chomsky and ask him. He is very responsive to even the most trivial of emails, I don't think he would see this as trivial. If he doesn't want to be bothered he will just say so. His details can be found on the MIT website.
