I don't know if this has been mentioned yet. This release passed me by unnoticed. Im sure Benwaugh will be thrilled!

It is a reprint of the Edinburgh Press edition of some decades earlier - which was a dual language edition. The UC edition is only in English. There is another English translation available for free download on the web. https://open.library.ubc.ca/cIRcle/collections/ubctheses/831/items/1.0101610
I'd love to see an illustrated edition of the Nightwatches.

Ahhh good to know thank you. I have the Edinburgh Press edition so I'm glad not to buy a duplicate.

I think you'd mainly be paying for the translator's introduction and afterword (the only distinction to this edition). I ordered this edition when the price got right as my old paperback is a bit shabby. Nothing especially attractive about the UC edition.

There is a German edition(1974) with wonderful lithograph illustrations done by Lovis Corinth(c. 1925). I would love to have a reprint of the English translation with his illustrations.

It would be nice to see a Centipede Press edition of this... or a finely bound leather limited with the aforementioned illustrations....

I noticed Nightwatches merited a mention in this 2015 article from The Spectator
