I think he's going to be a straight-up kind of guy. I already like him as a person and respect him as a cop.

I like the fact that he visits his grandmother all the time. Shows that he has a lot of respect for her.

Initially favorable. He seems to have an interesting personal history that we're going to find out about.

I liked him. I don't think he's appreciated by all the people he works with but he seems to take it in stride. He appears to be very level headed.

He is definitely a person we can feel we want to root for. Very positive first impression, let's hope he is treated better by the author than Logan MacRae was.

I really like him. He seems to be a good guy -- visiting his grandmother, working on the investigations as needed, doesn't let the fact that he grew up with money (apparently) affect his work

He seems like an all around good guy. I love that he continued to visit his grandmother regularly. He shows a lot of respect for people and seems to want to "do the right thing". The one thing I don't get is: why is he living in such a dump? He seems a glutton for punishment. I imagine he could do better on his salary.

He seems very go with the flow which is helpful in his station since it seems he sort of gets pushed around there. I love how he visits his grandmother each week, a lot of other people don't do that, which we heard from that nurse. I hope we get to know him better as a person, not just as the inspector.
