Did you have any idea why 6 organs, objects and words were found at the scene of the crime?
2Sergeirocks
6 people involved in a ritualistic killing?
I agree with MacBride that the words are probably nicknames.

I can't figure out why anyone would want to take ownership of body parts but that explanation is as good as any.

The first thing that popped in my mind was a 'Clue Game' especially when they mentioned the 'professor'. lol

That's a strange one. I think it was a group of 6 people but the words don't make any sense. Funny, Eadie..."Professor Plum in the basement with the knife".

>4 EadieB: That struck me too with the professor element!
6 people most probably involved in some ritualistic or devil worship. Are the six objects a possession from each of those people.

Great minds think alike! Yes, I think the 6 objects are personal possession of the people who have claimed a certain organ.

Part of the ritual. Her spleen was with a Japanese netsuke box containing some snuff and the word professor. Smith had a section of his spleen placed in his mouth. Coincidence? I think not. Perhaps he's "the professor".

>9 bluebird_: I like what you did there...let's see if it pans out...

>9 bluebird_: I was just having a similar thought. I wonder if Smythe was killed because this girl was found. Is he one of the 6? Is there some kind of contingency that if she's ever found, someone is to kill them all as penance? Maybe that's why he didn't need to be restrained, he knew it was coming and what it was for?

>9 bluebird_: definitely think there's a connection
>11 Jen_Bartels: wasn't Smythe killer earlier than the girl was found? Either the girl was found much earlier than the police was advised or the construction activity trigger some action.
