What did you make of the effect the lines when drawn on the photos had on McLean?

They seemed to be making him hallucinate.

Maybe he's always known he could be physic and it bothers him since he depends on his instincts to be a good cop. They do seem to be having a strange affect on him.

Laying the photos out on the floor created the same pattern as at the crime scene: if this is occult related, he created the same physical space as the original scene and this may prove extremely dangerous.

A very worrrying sign, Tony needs to be very careful how he progresses with things or his life could be at risk.

I have no idea why the lines affected him. I'm preparing to suspend belief.

>2 EadieB: I thought so and not what I was expecting to have happen. I would be ok with the idea that the death of his grandmother is bringing to the surface buried feelings over Kristy's death, etc but hearing voices, getting unnaturally cold, etc may be too much supernatural. For now, I'm going with it.

>6 Olivermagnus: >7 bhabeck: Since I thrive on supernatural stories...especially good ghostly ones... I can go along with that aspect as long as it doesn't override a good murder mystery.

What with the sinister laughter this had the feel of some sort of demon ritual he was reenacting with the drawing of the lines. Not what I was expecting this story to be at all. And then the girl's voice...

>8 Carol420: I don't mind the supernatural stories but I like them to be billed as such rather than thinking you're getting one thing but then it's something else.

>4 Sergeirocks: I thought that too, by doing it the way he was, he was recreating something and if it was a successful ritual in the past, it could work again.

I don't think he's ever experienced anything like this before, so if he has any "abilities" I don't think he ever knew about it before.

Wasn't it mentioned that that completed circle could be some form of "protection spell"? Keeps evil within the circle--it could have an effect on anyone within the circle.

It could be a circle to raise evil and whoever is at the center is the lure while the summoner is supposed to stay on the outside.
