How do you explain the burglary at the Douglas household if the alarm was set and there was no evidence of it being tampered with?

Maybe someone who works for the alarm company has found a way to bypass the alarm system.

I think it has to be someone from the alarm company.

There will be a rational explanation for this. Even though it looks like there is a supernatural twist to the main story, I don't believe a ghoul would have to wait till the house was empty to break into a safe - they could just do it in the middle of the night, (ha!).

Must be some kind of an inside job or paying someone on the inside.

None of the explanations make sense at this point.

I'd think it was an inside job. No supernatural aspect needed to explain this - except maybe for motivation.

I've got nothing, their security systems at the alarm company seem pretty legit, which should narrow the suspect pool, but only seems to be widening it.

I also think it's someone tied to the alarm company and agree there will not be an "otherworldly" explanation.
