Could the bus stop incident and Bertie or Menzies Farquhar be connected with events?

It's definitely connected because the Farquhar house is where the woman was found.

I also can't see what the link is but not writing it off totally at this stage. We weren't given any information about how long ago the incident at the bus stop was.

I agree. I think Esther, the men in her life and all the others over the age of 75 are all connected to the girl found in the basement. The Farquhar house has got ot also play a part.
