What are your thoughts about the events described in chapter 29? Who is she? What did you think she was about to do?

'She' was in a, by now, familiar spaced out state. It was obvious to me that she was going to commit our third murder. I don't know who she is, but I don't think finding out her identity will help at all.

I agree with Brenda that she was similar to Okolo whoever she is. They both mentioned "vengeance." Maybe she killed Carstairs.

I agree with you both. I don't know who she is either since we really haven't met a "she" that would fit the character. The only shes' we've met have been police officers.

I think she killed Carstairs. When that 80ies boot was mentioned I thought of Jenny - hope I'm wrong.
7Olivermagnus
I think she killed Carstairs. Tony passed her on the street on his way to dinner. It's hard to believe Carstairs could have been involved but he's the right age.

>7 Olivermagnus: I agree with this Lynda, Tony did pass a girl who was acting like she was drunk. So the girl must have been the murderer. Caratairs dies appear to be part of this group.

She was the next victim hypnotized or voodoo'd to kill another target and then commit suicide.
As soon as Tony mentioned seeing some drunk woman out of the corner of his eye I realized it was Corsairs who was that target.
Things seem to be circling back to Grandma. I hope there's some explanation that leaves her in the clear of the 1940's murder.
Corsairs must have been aware of what happened in the 40's but at this point I'm not convinced he was an active participant in the murder.
