Any thoughts on Gavin Spenser?

I'm guessing he's the other man in Grandma's photograph and will turn out to be Tony's biological grandfather.

I don't think I picked up on that - might have to go back and reread that meeting.

>3 bhabeck: Chapter 36, Brenda. An elderly gentleman (yet another sprightly one) walks up to Tony who is in the process of burying his grandmother's ashes. The old gentleman's face is disfigured...

I wondered also if he wasn't the man in Esther's photograph. I wonder what happened to him?

I think Carstairs is Tony's biological grandfather but I could be wrong and Gavin Spenser may be the grandfather. At this point I am totally confused.

>4 Sergeirocks: That's the one...I was thinking "Gavin Spenser" was the name of the father of the victim who was a marathoner. thanks for the reminder.

now that I remember who Gavin Spenser is, I also wondered if he was the "other guy" in the photo. I thought he may have been the one that Carstairs was looking for at the funeral

>7 bhabeck:
But why would Carstairs leave all his money to Tony?

>8 EadieB: haven't figured that out - I keep changing my mind on who the "other guy" was in the photo. If it was Carstairs, that might be a reason (possibly the biological grandfather) or just because he had a thing for Gran and didn't have any children of his own (I know, this one is a stretch...)

I definitely have him down as the biological grandfather and the other man in the picture.

I think Carstairs and Spenser met after the funeral and something in that meeting triggered the change in his will.

I think Spenser is the biological father of Tony. He might have had some information that caused Carstairs to leave his estate to Tony.

I can only think he is his biological grandfather.

I also think he's the biological father.
And now that he's back in town I think he may be our next murder victim. We still don't have our 6 1940's murderers.
