Do you have any thoughts or theories about what is going on?

Nothing has so far come to light that would make me alter my previous theories.

a group participated in the ritualistic murder
maybe 5 of the members are blackmailing the 6th (or at least keeping evidence that will ensure their safety)
McReadie is burglarizing homes of people who have recently died but the fact that he has the cufflink is coincidental
the "killers" are under the influence and being directed by someone who wants the people involved in the ritual murder killed
Tony hooks up with Emma

no clue on the "mystery dude"

I think the obituaries are people who were either at the party or had a relationship with the killers.
I don't think the cufflink is coincidental. Someone kept it for a reason but I'm not sure why.
I think the killers are being hypnotized hence the supernatural aspect.
I think Tony will end up with Emma too.
I think Jenny is involved with the supernatural aspect.
I think Carstairs is the biological grandfather.

I think of the original 6 participating in the ritualistic murder, 4 are now dead (maybe 5 if Tobias Johnson was also a party)
hopefully Spenser (McLean's biological grandfather) will be able to shed some light on what happened then
Jenny is one of the "instruments" to murder the old men

Think we know who 5 of the group are (if Tobias is the fifth person) - Smythe, Farquhar, Stewart, Carstairs. Think Spenser will be the sixth person and is behind the murders.
Okolo killed Smythe, Peter Andrews killed Stewart, the jumper killed Carstairs. All controlled by trance / hypnosis. Locate the killers through medical backgrounds of some of the group.
Spenser is the biological grandfather.
Still no wiser who the original girl was.

Lots of great theories, I agree with parts of everyone's ideas, and agree 100% with >7 Andrew-theQM:.

A group did the ritual murder in the 1940's and now they're being targeted by someone-I'm thinking a relative.
Not sure how McReadie ties in, but think he could be one of those relatives. He's in cahoots with someone--Jenny? So far she's just been window dressing in the book, so I agree with Eadie that she may be connected to this.

I hope Tony pays a visit to the psychic lady his boss directed him too and Spenser gives us some answers before he's killed.
Hopefully the next section will shed some more light.
