Who did you think was behind what McReadie was doing?

I thought it was the missing 6th man from the ritual kill that was directing him.

McReadie was a thief and slimy but he didn't seem like a pedophile.

For most of the book, I've thought McReadie was working for Spenser.

I agree with >2 bhabeck: and >3 Sergeirocks: that he was working for Spencer but he didn't seem like a pedophile.

I thought he was just involved with the obituary murders. I had no idea he was involved with Spenser.

I thought he was involved with Spenser too.

I thought he was working for whoever was masterminding the murders.

For most of the book I thought the connection was purely coincidental. But now it became obvious that there is one puppeteer: Spenser.

I thought he was working for Spenser.
