So now that the main Tournament is over, and we have some time before the summer reading things happen, what are people looking forward to trying? What are you looking to do now?

For myself, I've been trying to step back from literary fiction novels for a bit to recharge - I've been reading Kelly Link's short story collection Get in Trouble, which has been really good so far. And then there's a bunch of queer YA novels I'm thinking of trying, maybe starting with The Inexplicable Logic of My Life. And then back to finishing a couple of ToB books this year I didn't get to. What're other people doing?

I took some time to catch up on my Harpers magazines and podcasts. I just began Do Not Say We Have Nothing and Look, a White! I'll then move onto LaRose and some nonfiction I've been meaning to get to for awhile...Reconstruction and An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States.

They are doing a summer reading challenge for the first time. The winner will automatically be in the ToB for next year.

I've already started Ill Will so I feel ahead of things. And my library has a copy of The Night Ocean, which I have requested. This looks like fun and who can resist the chance to have a say in one of next year's contenders.

I like the logo.
