The long read in The Guardian Weekly for May 12 is an abridgement of "Ghost in the Cloud : Transhumanism’s simulation theology" (nplusonemag.com). Transhumanism offering, apparently, a kind of post-modern, libertarian, atheistic, technological framework to simulate something like religion.

To paraphrase D. Diderot, when the entrails of the last priest are used to strangle the last king we will have hit peak secular freedom - you know, metaphorically-speaking.
