"San Francisco Opera Coming to Movie Theaters
San Francisco Opera and The Bigger Picture have announced an agreement to broadcast six operas a year to movie theaters nationwide.
As the first opera company to utilize Hollywood feature quality digital cinema, San Francisco Opera will begin broadcasting to 200 movie theaters in early March. Schedules and locations have not yet been set; please check sfopera.com for updates.
Audiences will be able to enjoy four showings each of La Rondine, Samson and Delilah, The Magic Flute, Madama Butterfly, Don Giovanni and Appomattox."
