Does anyone have any good historical romance books to read? Particularly taking place in Scotland circa 15th/16th/17th century?
Thank you!

I'm not particularly fond of her work myself, but it fits right in with what you are asking for and the author's name is Amanda Scott. Almost all of her books are scottish historical romance. Hope this helps.

If you like historical fiction with romance and time travel thrown in, you might try the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, although it is much weightier than the typical romance. This series is currently 6 books (and counting) long.
You might also try the recent series by Karen Marie Moning that includes The Dark Highlander. I believe the complete series is 8 books long.

Jessa, we also have another "recommendations" thread, although it was started rather early on and may be buried on page two.
I like the Historical Romance Writers website. You can look for books by time period and setting.

I have a couple of favorites that are based in eras a little earlier than what you requested:
Juliana Garnett: The Scotman, The Laird - both set in the 14th century, these novels include some very real historical figures.
Arnette Lamb: The Chieftan, The Maiden of Inverness - these are both set right around 1300. Arnette Lamb is one of my favorite authors, and the rest of her work is set in the 1700's and range from the highlands to Glasgow to the New World and back. It's a shame she's no longer with us.

You might try Julie Garwood's The Bride and The Wedding. Both are very good, sexy and funny. I highly recommend, I just read them myself. I also 2nd Outlander and the rest of the series. My favorite series!
