I recall seeing what I though was a new DLE posted on EP's website yesterday. I don't remember the title of the book but I believe it was regarding the beginning of the Civil War. It was a single volume in a slipcase, brown leather I believe and was limited to 600 copies. I remember something along the lines of it containing several color illustrations or photographs that were exclusive to this publishing...price was 4 x $44 which seemed like a good price and I meant to look more into it this morning when I had a chance.
I don't think I'm losing my mind but I can't find it on the website any longer...did anyone else happen to see this?

The most recent email I've received from Easton Press regarding anything concerning the Civil War was from June 13th. Unfortunately, it differs from your description in that it doesn't claim to be a DLE, doesn't list a limitation, and is comprised of two volumes, not one. However, it is indeed brown, slipcased, and priced like a DLE. It is possible that, at the time of release, it was called a DLE and was limited to 600 copies but has since been revised. Perhaps this is it?

The EP item 3337, The Life, Trial and Execution of Captain John Brown was on the DLE list for about (2+) hours and then removed. The dimensions and price are (inches): 6 1/2 x 10 1/4 @ 110 pages with 4 installments @ 44.00 USD per installment. I made an android capture plus of the listing prior to its disappearance. The listing was accompanied by approx. (6) photos of the item. There is a hathitrust listing as well, though I have not read any portion of it.

I managed to order it before they took down the link. Here's a screen shot of my receipt.

Order tracking says it will ship on Monday, July 3.

Wow. I get a reliable 2-3 email adverts from EP every day, rain or shine, but this one never appeared.

These are some pictures I took in case you're interested when it becomes available online again (may even be available now if you call customer service). The text is small but still legible, even with my bifocals. Apologies for any bad photos as I'm on night shifts and should be sleeping now.

Brown also holds a dubious position at the capital building in Kasas
