Looking for book

Friend gave me a book to read sometime between 1981 - 1988. Been looking for it on line but can't seem to find, don't have title or author. Google sent me to you so I signed up to see if you can help.
Can't remember a whole lot but basis was a women who is sent on vacation to exotic island only to find out that it was very sexual. Was basically a community of visitors who played out their fantasies of being slaves, domination, submission, and a lot more. There was also a love story with this women and another visitor to the island. I can't seem to remember much more. There also might have been a 2nd book associated with it.
